I bet you've heard of this place in Panglima Polim 5 Kebayoran Baru called Mangia. I found out about the newly opened place - they just started serving on February - from Instagram, because people in Jakarta have been posting pictures of the tiny restaurant and the glorious food they serve. When I saw those pics I was like, "What a cute interior design and great-looking food!" So I just have to see the place with my own two eyes and taste their meals with my own tongue.

Recently, I finally had the time to go to Mangia with one of my best friends from college, Rudy. My first impression of the place is that it's as lovely as I expected it to be - rustique interior design in pastel palette. It was a very hot Saturday morning, so I thought it was really sweet of the waitress there to ask us if we wanted to sit at their second floor where it's more breezy.

The first meal we ordered was the Mangia's Big Breakfast which was baked tomato, baked beans, lettuce, two eggs that can be made in the style that you prefer - sunny side up, omelette, or scrambled - and sausage - which you can change with bacon or beef. It was oh-so-delicious. The second one was their Maple Bacon Pancake, the most yummy pancake I've ever had. And the drinks were also nice. We had Mangia's Tropical Twist, Choco Peanut, and Lychee Ice Tea. The price range for the meals stretches from 35.000 rupiahs to 70.000 rupiahs, and 19.000 to 35.000 rupiahs for the drinks. For a tiny restaurant with a well-designed space and food that delicious, I think the price were very reasonable. Mangia definitely made it to my favorite places list.
